Front Desk School Receptionist

 

Reports to: Principal Purpose:

 

To ensure the efficient operation of the school office and to contribute to effective school-public relations by courteously responding to the needs of visitors, parents, staff, and students.

 

Nature of Position:

 

An employee in this position will perform several duties to provide clerical assistance to the school and to maintain positive school/public relations. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move heavy objects up to and including 50 pounds. Some out-of-county travel may occur when participating in regional and/or state level meetings and staff development activities. The employee must consistently use his/her hands for typing/keyboarding, filing, etc. He/she must be able to sit for extended periods of time without fatigue or discomfort. The employee works in primarily an air-conditioned environment with a moderate noise level. Office hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (30 minutes for lunch)
